Cara Clark is a Registered Dietitian and a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator who has worked in skilled nursing facilities since 2001. She thoroughly understands the regulatory world of long-term care. During her years in the field, she completed nutritional assessments, monitored weight changes and skin breakdown, led the weekly meetings that focused on the residents’ nutritional health, and many other dietitian and administrative duties.
Nutrition is so very vital to the frail, elderly population, and those residents at nutritional risk should get the utmost focus and attention. Yet, many administrators, operators, executives, and owners in the long-term care industry are unsure how to best utilize their dietitians. They typically do not have insight into:
